Draw Climber
Draw Climber is a hyper-casual racing game published by Voodoo in 2020. It became a hit thanks to its unusual idea: your racer is a square block, and you decide how it moves by drawing a shape that becomes its legs. Different shapes handle different terrain, so you can redraw at any time to adapt to stairs, gaps and water.
Draw a shape in the box at the bottom of the screen. That shape is attached to your block as rotating legs. Your block races against opponents across a course full of obstacles. Redraw whenever you need a better shape. Cross the finish line first to win.
Draw Climber mixes drawing, physics and racing in a way few games do. Every race becomes a small experiment in design, and finding the perfect shape for each section is very satisfying. It is a fun, creative game for all ages.
Different shapes work best on different terrain. Long straight lines act like stilts, helping your block climb stairs and walls. Wavy or zigzag lines can provide grip on uneven surfaces. Shorter shapes spin faster and are ideal for flat sections. In water, some shapes paddle better than others. Experimenting is part of the fun, and redrawing quickly when the terrain changes is the key to winning races. Watching how your opponents move can also give you ideas for new shapes to try. As levels progress, courses become more complex, rewarding players who adapt quickly and think creatively about their designs.
There is no single best shape; long lines climb well, while shorter shapes move faster on flat ground.
