State.io
State.io is a real-time strategy game released in 2020 that became a mobile hit with its quick, colorful battles over maps divided into territories. It takes the classic idea of conquest strategy and simplifies it into a drag-and-send system that anyone can learn in seconds. Each level is a short contest between you and several computer-controlled rivals, each represented by a different color.
Every territory you own produces troops over time, shown by a number. Drag from one of your territories to another to send troops. If you send more troops than an enemy or neutral territory contains, you capture it. Conquer every territory on the map to win the level.
State.io offers the thrill of strategy games in matches that last only a minute or two. It rewards quick thinking and good timing rather than long planning sessions, making it perfect for short breaks. As levels progress, maps grow larger and rivals become more aggressive, keeping the challenge fresh.
At the start of each State.io level, pause to look at where rivals are positioned and which neutral areas lie between you. Territories in the middle of the map are often contested by several players at once, while edges are safer to expand into. Building a strong, connected region first makes it easier to defend and to launch large combined attacks later in the match.
The game offers a long series of levels across different maps, with difficulty increasing as you progress.
